The Independent Insurance Network ("IIN," "we," or "us") is operated by Jerry Hampton. This policy explains how information is handled when you visit the-iin.com, submit an inquiry, or communicate with us.

Agents asking about working with IIN may also provide licensing information, experience, and business interests. We also keep communications and any permissions you provide.
Please keep initial website inquiries brief. Do not include Social Security numbers, Medicare identification numbers, payment information, medical records, or detailed health information. If additional information is needed, we will explain how to provide it.
Website and form information
Our website is hosted by Netlify and uses Netlify Forms to collect and store inquiry submissions. Submissions are delivered to Jerry Hampton by email for follow-up. Netlify and our email provider process this information to provide those services.
Website operation may also involve processing technical information such as IP addresses, browser and device information, pages requested, and access times. This information may be used to deliver the website, troubleshoot problems, and detect misuse.
How we use information
We use information to respond to requests, understand the help you are seeking, arrange appointments, follow up on inquiries, evaluate agent inquiries, maintain communication and consent records, operate and protect our business, and meet applicable legal and recordkeeping obligations.

Who handles your inquiry
Jerry Hampton currently handles website inquiries personally. We do not distribute these inquiries to other insurance agents.
Service providers supporting website hosting, forms, email, recordkeeping, and business communications may process or store information needed to provide those services. Inquiries are not stored exclusively in email.
We do not sell personal information or provide your contact information to other businesses for their independent marketing.
If you later request assistance with an insurance application or enrollment, that process may require providing information to an insurer or authorized enrollment platform. Applicable notices and authorizations will be handled separately from the initial website inquiry.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law or reasonably necessary to address fraud or security concerns, respond to legal process, or protect legal rights.
Mobile numbers and texting consent
Providing a telephone number does not by itself authorize promotional text messages. Any optional texting service requires a separate opt-in.
We do not sell mobile numbers or share them with other businesses for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We do not transfer your text-message opt-in or consent to another business for that business's independent use. Messaging providers may process mobile numbers, messages, and consent records on our behalf to operate and support our texting service, subject to applicable requirements.

The retention period depends on the information and the reason it was collected.
